Dear Humanity,
We need bees and other insects to survive.
Please understand, at the deepest levels of self-preservation and spiritual knowledge, then figure out a solution.
Thank you!
Love,

Early April soon I’ll collect deadwood detritus from the sprawling land, gather in pile near the fire pit, start a blaze while laboring the garden. Tilling, pulling scrabble growth, vines and roots from last season, dry oak leaves; adding fertilizer, soil, lobster compost from Maine - thick, rich, black and smells of the sea - cleaning, tidying, husbanding. Germinate seeds this year three different hybrid strains, nurture, top at around five weeks, clip again three weeks later. Growing tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, peppers, eggplant, herbs, sunflowers. No question, by the way, that there are fewer bees every year. Seems like random stragglers show up instead of perpetual buzzing, visiting, searching. Pollinator garden. Encourage. Coax and cultivate life from this earth, safeguard commons for our children. We have children.
